Serverlog Files
To protect your privacy as effectively as possible, we have configured our web server to mask (anonymise) your device's IP address immediately by setting the last block of digits to zero. We are therefore unable to identify you personally via these log files. This data is not combined with any other data sources.
This data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in ensuring the error-free operation of the website, analysing server error messages and safeguarding our system against cyber attacks.

Cookies
This website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device via your browser. They do not cause any harm. If you do not wish to accept them, you can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are set and to allow them only on a case-by-case basis. It is also very easy to delete stored cookies from your browser.

Spam and Bot protection
On our website, we use the Cloudflare Turnstile service provided by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA; hereinafter 'Cloudflare'). This service is used to distinguish whether an input (e.g. in a contact form) is made by a human or by automated, machine-based processing (bots, spam scripts). Unlike conventional CAPTCHA solutions, Cloudflare Turnstile largely avoids the use of cookies and the need for user interactions (such as solving image puzzles).
Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures an adequate level of data protection.
However, technical data and device characteristics are transmitted to Cloudflare's servers for verification purposes.
These include, amongst other things:
  • the IP adress of the device
  • Browser information (e.g. type, version and language settings)
  • Operating system and screen resolution
  • Referring website (referrer URL)
  • Anonymised interaction data (e.g. mouse movements or time spent on the site)

Purpose and legal basis
The use of Cloudflare Turnstile is based on our legitimate interest in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to protect our web forms from misuse, spam and automated cyber-attacks (e.g. brute-force attacks), thereby ensuring that our website remains accessible to human visitors.
Retention period
Cloudflare processes and stores the data only for as long as is necessary to provide the analytics service and validate the request. The exact retention period is at Cloudflare's discretion.

Web-analysis
On this website, we use the privacy-friendly web analytics tool Plausible Analytics. The service provider is the European company Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia. Plausible Analytics is designed to operate without the use of cookies or similar storage technologies on your device. At no point is personal data collected or are permanent identifiers generated. To count repeat visits on the same day, an isolated, daily-changing hash value (a cryptographic key) is generated from the IP address and the browser user agent. It is impossible to trace this hash value back to your actual identity or IP address. The data collected (such as subpages visited, duration of visit, browser type and country of origin) is used exclusively for anonymous statistical analysis. Data processing takes place on servers within the European Union (Germany). We have entered into a data processing agreement with the provider.
Purpose and legal basis
The processing is based on our legitimate interest pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in tailoring our website to users' needs, optimising it technically and measuring its reach anonymously, without tracking user behaviour across platforms or creating profiles.
